Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using ucpcalgaryvarsity.ca. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who We Are

The UCP Calgary-Varsity Constituency Association ("the Association," "we," "us," or "our") is the registered constituency association of the United Conservative Party of Alberta for the electoral district of Calgary-Varsity. We are a volunteer-led, not-for-profit political organization registered under the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act (Alberta).

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions, and agree to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the site following any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Use of the Website

Permitted use

You may use this site for lawful purposes only, including obtaining information about our association, signing up for our newsletter, registering interest in volunteering, submitting community events for our consideration, and contacting our board.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, submit false or fraudulent information through any form, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, use the site to distribute spam or malware, scrape or systematically harvest data from the site without our written consent, engage in conduct that could damage or impair the site or its servers, or impersonate any person or organization.

While we endeavour to keep information current and accurate, we make no warranties about the completeness, accuracy, or suitability of any content. Political content, including policy positions and event information, reflects the views of the Association at the time of publication and may change. 5. Event Submissions

By submitting an event through our site, you confirm that the information is accurate and complete, you have the authority to submit the event on behalf of the organizing body, and the event does not promote illegal activity or hate speech.

Event submissions are subject to review and approval by our board. We reserve the right to decline, modify, or remove any submission at our sole discretion. Submission does not guarantee listing.

6. Volunteer Applications

By submitting a volunteer application, you acknowledge that you are volunteering of your own free will and are not guaranteed any compensation, acceptance is at the sole discretion of the Association, your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and volunteering does not create an employment relationship of any kind.

7. Newsletter and Electronic Communications

Subscriptions to our newsletter are subject to your explicit consent as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our messages or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribe requests are honoured within 10 business days.

8. Third-Party Links

The site may contain links to third-party websites including community associations, government websites, and the United Conservative Party of Alberta. These links are provided as a convenience only. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any third-party websites.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this site — including text, images, logos, design, and layout — is owned by or licensed to the UCP Calgary-Varsity Constituency Association or the United Conservative Party of Alberta and is protected by Canadian copyright law. 11. Political Activity Disclosure

The UCP Calgary-Varsity Constituency Association is a registered political organization. Volunteering, event attendance, and donations coordinated through this site may be subject to reporting requirements under the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act (Alberta).

Donations to the Association are governed by Alberta election finance law. Only Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are Alberta residents are eligible to donate, subject to applicable contribution limits. The Association will provide tax receipts for eligible political contributions as required by law.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta, sitting in the City of Calgary.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
